Advanced Spinning - Art Yarn

Mastered the basics but want to know more? This full day workshop allows you to test the waters and create your own art yarn from a batt designed and carded by yourself! 
Limited spaces available with the opportunity to borrow a wheel if you can’t bring your own. 
Tea, biscuits and cake provided and a break for lunch (lunch not provided – either bring your own sandwiches or check out Kirky’s favourite Ghiloni’s just over the road)

Knit Your Own Hat in the Round

Know how to knit but afraid of taking the next step? Come and learn how to knit your first hat in the round on circular needles. Two hat designs to choose from, perfect for the beginner knitter who wishes to improve their knowledge of different stitches and basic shaping. 
This workshop is split into two sessions, the first focussing on casting on and getting to grips with the circular needle and the second showing two methods of decreasing to finish your hat (with a week in between to knit the body of the hat, yes you will have homework!)
Circular needle and yarn provided. Basic knowledge of knit and purls stitches required. Please advise in advance if you have an allergy to natural wool fibres or lanolin.

Learn to Knit Basic Cables

Love the look of Aran jumpers but can’t get your head around cable needles? Pop along for a crash course on reading and knitting basic cables and take the mystery out of the gansey! 
This evening class will have you creating your own cabled swatch in no time, all materials provided as well as complimentary tea and biscuits.
