Meet the Makers
Sealy MacWheely is proud to support and stock products by the following range of Indie businesses:
Cat & Sparrow
Cat & Sparrow was started by two fibre friends in Australia in 2013, and after relocating to the UK in 2015 Rachael set up Cat & Sparrow UK. She dyes fibre and yarn at her home in Bristol, which she shares with several spinning wheels, looms, a husband and his bluegrass instrument hoard, and two children who have to squeeze in there somewhere. She has a yen for natural fibres, particularly silk and Bluefaced Leicester, and loves to experiment with colour and texture.
Cookston Crafts was established in the Aberdeenshire town of Ellon in 2015 as a place for Claire to share her love of crafts. As well as her beautiful hand dyed yarns, Claire produces awesome crochet kits which are available on her own website and teaches knitting, crochet and machine sewing classes from her lovely wee workshop.
Based in Northern Ireland and with yarns as instantly recognisable as its maker, Dye Candy specialises in high contrast ‘Kick Ass Yarns for Rockstars’.
In Hutch’s own words:
‘My yarn is f**king lit.’
