Sealy MacWheely is Kirkintilloch’s new Local Yarn & Fibre shop stocking a range of beautiful squishy fibres for spinning and felting as well as a wealth of stunning hand dyed yarns by some of the most talented indie dyers in the UK. In addition to this the shop also showcases a selection of local arts and crafts and a wide range of top-quality accessories for the budding knitter, crocheter and spinner!
The shop is also host to regular Knit’n’Natter sessions and craft workshops in the dedicated community space – open every day for drop-in help or just a cup of tea and a blether!

This month I’d like to introduce you to my pal Lisa aka For the Love of Yarn :

For The Love of Yarn is an independent yarn company based in the heart of Scotland.
Lisa, the indie dyer behind the business produces luxury hand dyed yarn in a rainbow of exciting colours using high quality yarn blends in a variety of bases. At her studio in East Kilbride she hosts workshops and knit and natters sharing her love of all things yarn.
Lisa has also been shortlisted as Best Independent Hand Dyer at this years British Knitting & Crochet Awards so be sure to send a vote her way if you haven’t done so already!
