It was in the January of 2011 that I, Katie Seal, received my first spinning wheel. The first thing my childhood friend said to me that day as she gazed upon my shiny new Ashford Traditional will forever remain with me:

What are you, like, Sealy MacWheely or something?”

I thought it was the stupidest thing I had ever heard.
It stuck.

November Maker of the Month

Introducing the new Sealy MacWheely Maker of the Month feature! Each month shall highlight one of the wonderfully talented crafters and dyers whose work you can find in the shop.
To kick us off for November meet the fantastic Aileen Clarke:

Aileen Clarke Crafts

Based in rural Fife Aileen uses a mix of both wet and needle felting to create her stunning designs. She takes inspiration from the landscapes and sea views of Scotland and Ireland with an eye for colour and a fondness for wee sheep!

A range of Aileen’s beautiful brooches and shawl pins can be found at the shop with more, larger pieces available online.
