It was in the January of 2011 that I, Katie Seal, received my first spinning wheel. The first thing my childhood friend said to me that day as she gazed upon my shiny new Ashford Traditional will forever remain with me:
“What are you, like, Sealy MacWheely or something?”
I thought it was the stupidest thing I had ever heard.

January Maker of the Month
Introducing the Sealy MacWheely Maker of the Month feature! Each month shall highlight one of the wonderfully talented crafters and dyers whose work you can find in the shop.
To kick us off for January 2019 meet the fantastic Verity of Truly Hooked:
Producing beautiful, bold and brilliant yarns, Truly Hooked aims to bring a splash of colour to your stash. Based in Nottingham, Verity has been nominated in the Best indie Brand and Favourite Crochet designer categories at the British Knitting and Crochet Awards for the last three years and two of her books have won the coveted award for Favourite Knitting and Crochet Books. You can find both her beautiful yarns and award winning pattern books in the shop.
Fun fact: Verity and I went to the same school and caught the school bus together for four years, she was also Sealy MacWheely’s first ever customer back in 2012!
