It was in the January of 2011 that I, Katie Seal, received my first spinning wheel. The first thing my childhood friend said to me that day as she gazed upon my shiny new Ashford Traditional will forever remain with me:
“What are you, like, Sealy MacWheely or something?”
I thought it was the stupidest thing I had ever heard.

March Maker of the Month
Introducing the Sealy MacWheely Maker of the Month feature! Each month shall highlight one of the wonderfully talented crafters and dyers whose work you can find in the shop.
To kick us off for March 2019 meet the fantastic Ruth of Xoxo Designs:
Xoxo Designs by Ruth
Xoxo Designs was initially set up by Ruth in order to raise funds for Maggie’s Centres following her mother’s diagnosis of ovarian cancer in 2013. After thankfully given the all clear, Ruth continues to design her own colourful greetings cards, cute enamel pin badges and motivational prints taking inspiration from patterns, flowers, space, typography, books and the wider creative community!
This month Ruth took the plunge and has gone full-time with her business – check out her website to get a sneak peek of her new goodies!
